Responsibilities
- Technicians: Follow the instructions to upgrade the firmware on BMV devices.
- IT Support: Ensure that the USB drives are pre-loaded with the correct firmware version and provide assistance as needed.
- Open box and remove the BMV packaging
- Look for a sticker on the packaging that contains the version number:
- If there is no version number, proceed to Step 3
- If version number is .08, set aside for further review
- If version number is .12, continue with step 3
- Remove the door on the back of the BMV device and plug-in USB that is pre-loaded with new software version
- Plug BMV into power source
- The BMV will boot up and start the upgrading process. While going through this process, the BMV will display a red screen and show the current version number.
- If version number is .08, then unplug device and set it aside for further review
- If version number is .12, let the device continue with the process.
