Daily Seon Health Check How-To
Daily Seon Health Check
Step 1 – Log in to the SafeFleet Cloud and select Video Management, then Dashboard, and then click on Health in the top row of boxes:

Step 2 – Click the Type column to arrange the entries ascending with “GPS Requiring Attention”, “Media Drive Requiring Attention” and "Fan Requiring Attention" listed at the top. Highlight all these entries and hit Ctrl + C:

Step 3 – Open the Bus Hardware Inventory Sheet (Bus Hardware Inventory.xlsx) and scroll over to find the sheet entitled Seon-DHC. Select the next blank cell in column A, right click on it, and select “Values Only” from Paste Options. Control+shift+v also accomplishes this.

Step 4 – Return to the SafeFleet window, and arrange the Health window list by Occurrences descending. Select all vehicles that have an excessive number of occurrences, and copy them to the Bus Hardware Inventory sheet as in steps 2 and 3 above:

Step 5 – Put today’s date in the Date column, and investigate each line entry. The Vehicle column is conditionally formatted to mark duplicate entries; focus your efforts on these vehicles first. Generate tickets per vehicle per issue for any buses you either can't observe the issue, or you do observe an issue for tracking resolution notes. Mark 'Ok' in the notes column for any incident that is being reported on the DHC, if the issue is observable but not present.

Resolution of each type of issue
There are 4 items seen here:
1. Camera Requiring Attention
Go to the vehicle and power it on. Pull up the video feed via IP listed on the HW Tracking spreadsheet. Locate the DVR and the cameras in question in the bus. Check both ends of the cable that connects both. There can be an adapter on the end of the cable as it feeds into the DVR. Verify all connections on the cable that goes from the camera to the DVR.
2. Media Drive Requiring Attention
Check to make sure the hard drive is in the DVR and locked. If the lock isn't fully engaged, this error can be reported. You can also remove the drive and reinsert it in order to resolve this issue. To verify that the drive is working, request a download in Commander Evidence Requests to see if a successful download occurs.
3. Fan Requiring Attention
When remotely connected to the DVR, navigate to Configuration > Title/Display > Health Check. Here you can download status data, which will show the temperature the DVR is reporting, and the fan status. This will show you if the fan is inoperable, and if the temperature is in the proper range, which can be found online. If everything looks good here, you can visually inspect the fan's filter to see if it has dust
4. GPS Requiring Attention
There is no need to do a full investigation of this. Note repeat daily occurrences to determine if an issue is substantial. The Seon DVR has its' own GPS antenna and can be investigated or replaced if needed. Make sure the connection is secure where it plugs into the back of the DVR.
