How to Set Up Events and Event Passes for RideMVTA
Purpose
This guide describes how to use the Event and Event Pass features of Backoffice, which lets you create events and event passes (tickets) in RideMVTA.
Scope
The guide is an overview of the setup and features of these screens and shows what effects these have within the RideMVTA mobile app and Trip Planner website. It's intended to take someone unfamiliar with event management in RideMVTA and point them toward where/how to set this all up. Note that to be successful managing apps, this guide is really just a starting point -- practice in Staging Backoffice/RideMVTA to get a full picture of what everything does and how MVTA specifically uses these features.
Responsibilities
Marketing Department: Enter events and event passes into Backoffice as described in the guide, verifying the appropriate settings and that the changes show properly in RideMVTA. Reach out to the IT system administrator assigned to RideMVTA as needed for assistance.
IT System Administrator Assigned to RideMVTA: Assist with event and event pass verification as requested by Marketing, and coordinate support with Kuba as needed. Also, work with Kuba to get up-to-date documentation as needed.
Kuba (RideMVTA Developer): Assist with support as needed. Notably, as of November 2024, Kuba does not enter tickets into Backoffice on our behalf (as they previously had).
