How to Reset Your Backoffice Password
Purpose
This article describes how to reset your Backoffice password. Backoffice is the system we use to control things in RideMVTA, like creating events, looking up customer accounts, and sending push notifications to app users.
Scope
This is just resetting your Backoffice password, nothing more, nothing less.
Responsibilities
MVTA staff needing a password reset - Use the forgot password flow as described in this procedure to reset your password. Reach out to IT for assistance as needed.
IT Service Desk - Assist MVTA staff with password resets, escalating to the IT System Administrator assigned to RideMVTA when needed.
IT System Administrator assigned to RideMVTA - Escalation point for access issues to Backoffice and point of contact for reaching the vendor, Kuba.
Procedure
- Pull up the Backoffice environment for which you need to reset your password. Note that you have a distinct account for production Backoffice and staging Backoffice, and may have distinct passwords for each.
- Production Backoffice: https://admin.us.unwire.com/admin/
- Staging Backoffice: https://ticketing-admin.staging.us.unwire.com/admin/
- Click "Forgot password" below the username/password fields.

- When prompted, provide your email address, then hit "Request Email".
- You'll receive an email from Kuba/Unwire with a password reset link. Click the link.
- On the password reset page, type your new password (IMPORTANT: do not copy/paste it in). There's a bug on this page that will cause your password reset to fail if you paste it in -- you must type it in manually for it to be accepted.

- After entering a new password and hitting the "Create password" button, you should receive a success message. You can now log into Backoffice with the password you set.
