How to Setup Users with Customer Kiosk/Intercom Access
Pertains to Customer Service users who are answering calls from the Customer Kiosk Intercom.
Need:
- Genetec Security Desk Client
- Sipelia Add-On
- Added to user group in Genetec
Genetec Installation
1. Follow this article to install Genetec -> How to Install Genetec Security Center Client | Knowledge Base | MVTA Service Desk
Sipelia Installation
1. Open Explorer and navigate to \\mvta-storage04\it$\Software\Facilities\Genetech
2. Copy "Sipelia <VERSION>.exe" to the user's Desktop
3. Run "Sipelia <VERSION>.exe" as Admin
4. Click "Unzip"
5. Navigate to C:/Genetec
6. Run "Sipelia <VERSION>.exe" as Admin
7. Click "Next"
8. Click "Accept" and "Next"
9. Only install client
9. Click "Install"
10. Click "Finish"
Add to Group
1. Go to AD
2. Find user being given access
3. Add them to MVTA-GenetecPAUser group
4. In Genetec Config Tool, give the user an extension for VoiP
