Digital Ridership Counter App (DRCA): Request Guide
Purpose
To guide users through the process of placing ride orders using the Digital Ridership Counter App (DRCA) during special events like Renaissance Festival and State Fair. This ensures efficient transportation services for guests.
Scope
This guide applies to those using the DRCA to submit ride requests. This app is designed for quick mobile access via QR code.
Responsibilities

Street Supervisors:
- Submit ride requests using the DRCA accurately
- Ensure all required fields are correct and filled in before submission
- Assist riders with any quick questions about the app
- Report any issues or app errors to IT

- Maintain the functionality of the DRCA
- Provide on-call support if supervisors/guests encounter issues
1. Install Power Apps
- Download the Power Apps app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- The logo looks like this:
2. Log In
- Open the Power Apps app
- Login using your MVTA credentials:
- Email: jdoe@mvta.com
- Password: (Same as your MVTA computer login)

3. Scan the QR code
- Open your phone's camera
- Scan the QR code
- Select 'Continue in browser'
4. Select Your Event
- Choose either:
- This sets up the correct route options for that event

5. Start the Ride Request Form
- You will see a form that includes:
- Starting Location - where the bus will pick up riders
- Destination - where the bus will drop off riders
Choose your starting location and destination
- Once you hit next, you will see another form that includes:
- Bus Number - enter all 4 digits (must start with the number 4)
- Rider Count - total passengers
- ADA Count - ADA passengers (max 2)
6. Submit the Form
- Tap the 'Submit' button at the bottom-right of the screen
7. Confirm Submission
- A confirmation screen will appear
- Tap Submit again to confirm
8. Choose Next Action
- After submitting:
- Tap Same Start Location to submit another form using the same pick-up point.
- Tap New Start Location to return to the starting screen and select a new location.
