How to Decommission Clovers

At the end of events season (State Fair and RenFest) this guide will discuss how to decommission the Clovers and store them until the next year.

Turn off Cell Service

1. Deactivate the sim cards

1. Go into the Admin on the Clover (Passcode in keeper)

2. Setup > Cellular Data > Deactivate SIM Cards

2. Turn off Mobile Data

1. Device Settings > Network & Internet > SIMS > Turn off Mobile Data

3. Notify Finance that sim cards and data have been turned off for the devices.

Evaluate and Store

1. Check the clovers for damages and evaluate if they need to get sent in for repair.

a. If the damage causes the device to be non-functional = Contact Clover to walk through steps for repair

b. Cosmetic = It's fine, ready to be stored

Document any damages, no matter how small, within the asset description.

2. Start storing the Clovers in their boxes.

Each Clover Box Should Have:

1x Clover Device

1x Wireless Cradle

1x Cradle Charger

Make sure to match up the devices to the boxes with the same serial numbers.
